The 15´ Salmon Leaders come in a 2-pack, and the packaging is UV-resistant and features a zip closure, allowing you to store the leaders safely in your vest or pack. Each leader is pre-looped for convenience and comes in a subtle smoke grey color for low visibility in the water. The taper design is the result of years of experience on the water and has been fine-tuned for salmon fishing and Spey casting with modern salmon and steelhead lines. The powerful butt section and taper ensure efficient energy transfer all the way to your fly, and the tip section is long enough to tie your fly directly to the leader without adding a tippet.

Taper Profile

The taper is divided into three sections: Butt – 40% (182 cm / 5.9 ft), Taper – 25% (114 cm / 3.8 ft), Tip – 35% (160 cm / 5.3 ft). The butt section measures 0.65 mm / 0.026 in, which we consider an ideal match for modern Spey lines and shooting heads. This is followed by a shorter, more aggressive taper that transitions smoothly into what we believe is the perfect tippet length for this type of leader.
