Our Power Strike PRO 12´ Sea Trout Leaders come in a 2-pack, and the packaging is UV-resistant and features a zip closure, allowing you to store the leaders safely in your vest or pack. Each leader is pre-looped for convenience and comes in a subtle smoke grey color for low visibility in the water.

The taper design is the result of years of experience on the water and has been fine-tuned for coastal fishing. The powerful butt section and taper ensure efficient energy transfer all the way to your fly, and the tip section is long enough to tie your fly directly to the leader without adding a tippet. However, the overall taper easily accommodates an added tippet for those flat and calm days when you need to be a bit stealthier approach.

Taper Profile

The taper is divided into three sections: Butt – 40% (145 cm / 4.8 ft), Taper – 25% (90 cm / 2.9 ft), Tip – 35% (130 cm / 4.3 ft). The butt section measures 0.57 mm / 0.022 in, which we consider ideal for matching the typical #6–8 lines frequently used in coastal and tropical fishing. This is followed by a shorter, more aggressive taper that transitions smoothly into what we believe is the perfect tippet length for this type of leader.
