Our 6.5´ Salmon Leaders come in a 2-pack, and the packaging is UV-resistant and features a zip closure, allowing you to store the leaders safely in your vest or pack. Each leader is pre-looped for convenience and comes in a subtle smoke grey color for low visibility in the water. These leaders are the result of years of combined experience from salmon anglers around the world, and they feature a taper that’s truly optimized for fishing with sinking lines.

The powerful butt section and aggressive taper design ensure efficient energy transfer, while the overall length is perfectly tuned to perform with heavy sinking lines. If you prefer to fish lighter sinking lines or sinking tips, you can easily add a short tippet to extend the leader.

The taper is divided into three sections: The taper is divided into three sections: Butt – 26% (50 cm / 1.6 ft), Taper – 37% (73 cm / 2.4 ft), Tip – 37% (73 cm / 2.4 ft). The butt section measures 0.65 mm / 0.026 in, which we consider an ideal match for modern Spey lines and shooting heads. This is followed by a shorter, more aggressive taper that transitions smoothly into what we’ve found to be the perfect tippet length for this type of leader. Although designed to be short, the leader handles additional tippet with ease if you wish to extend it. The construction ensures excellent turnover and control, even with longer setups.
