THE short STORY

Little did we know that our journey into the wader business began on an early June day in 2016 —sitting on a rock with leaking waders by the river Orkla in Norway.

What started as frustration with waders that didn’t live up to their promises slowly turned into action. With decades of fly fishing and wading experience, a good dose of common sense, and an open mind, we set out to create something better — something we actually wanted to wear. A wader we could trust to keep us dry and comfortable longer than anything else out there.

Call us naive, but how hard could it be?

For years, breathable waders had been the weak link in our gear.

Rods, reels, fly lines—just about every other piece of equipment in our kit performs as it should. Waders, unfortunately, have been a different story. And we’re pretty sure you’ve experienced the same — trips interrupted or even cut short because your waders let you down.

We believe that ends now.

So we decided to challenge the status quo and try to develop something truly different.

Were we the only ones in the industry who felt that breathable membranes weren’t the best solution? Or had others already tried—and failed—to find something better?

Call us crazy, but we believed there had to be another way.

After what felt like an eternity of research, sourcing materials, and countless discussions with factory engineers, tailors, and designers, we created our first prototype.

More than five years later — after constant testing, refining, and pushing our gear to the limit in real fishing conditions — we reached a point where we felt we had not only met our goal, but exceeded it. In 2021, we finally introduced our waders to the market.

But the real challenge starts now.

We know how good our waders are. We know they deliver on what we set out to achieve. But it’s one thing to say it — and another to prove it. Now begins the tough journey of earning your trust.

At first glance, our waders might look like any other pair — two legs, an upper section, a zipper. But trust us, they’re anything but ordinary.

So when you step into a pair of LOC waders for the first time, keep an open mind. You’ll feel the difference — light, comfortable, and built to move with you. They’ll keep you warm and ventilated, and above all, they’ll keep you dry.
